SmartStart for Grocery offers a new approach to delivering a fully integrated, cost-effective, front and back office mySAP system straight out-of-the-box, which means you can be live on SAP within weeks of starting your project.

SmartStart for Grocery is the core product developed by Chelford SAP Solutions and provides the foundation of the industry-specific solutions, which have been categorised as mySAP All-in-One solutions in their own right by SAP.

Each of these solutions includes pre-configured functions designed to specifically help support the business processes of companies who operate in the Grocery sector.

Right across the Food sector companies have a unique set of business imperatives to manage – a small but very powerful customer base, tight delivery targets, aggressive pricing and discounting. But, even within the process manufacturing industry, there are significant differences. For companies working with grocery products capabilities such as product traceability and recall, shelf life with batch and FIFO control and management of ambient, chilled and frozen products can be particularly important.

SmartStart for Grocery consists of a broad range of core modules which can be augmented by a range of fixed scope 'Value Packs' (see the diagram below). This allows a customer's final solution to be tailored to meet their particular needs whilst still adopting a market specific templated approach.
